What we agree in advance
A good day of play starts with clear arrangements about the venue, programme and costs. Below are the basic arrangements for a group activity. Use the enquiry form to tell us what you have in mind; submitting it does not make a booking or start a payment.
What LightningWars provides
- Four complete sets of equipment for four players at a time.
- Supervision by one game supervisor.
- At least three games with four players per game, within a minimum booking of two hours, excluding setup and pack-down.
What your group arranges
Your group chooses and arranges the entire venue, including permission from the venue owner or manager. We discuss together whether it is suitable for the game. A venue is not included.
Date, players and programme
Playing dates and times are by arrangement. LightningWars is for players aged 18 and over.
Four people play at a time. The same four players can play several rounds; larger groups take turns. In a group enquiry, tell us the number of individual people.
A round takes an estimated 30 minutes including the briefing and check-in, with around 20 minutes of play. The actual duration varies. Extra rounds are arranged separately.
Entry fee and travel expenses
Entry costs €15 in bitcoin via Lightning per player per game. There is no separate fee for running the activity. LightningWars receives 10% of the total entry fees; 90% forms the prize wallet for places 1, 2 and 3. Before paying, you see the exact amount in sats and the split between the podium places. You pay for the game when you check in at the venue.
We operate in the Utrecht area. If the drive to your chosen venue takes more than 30 minutes, we discuss travel expenses in advance.
From an initial enquiry to an agreement
Use the group form to tell us what you would like to organise. We then discuss the date, venue, participants, programme and costs. The arrangements for changes and cancellations must also be clear before you book. Sending this form does not make a booking.
During the activity
Players follow the briefing and the game supervisor’s instructions. The game may be stopped if there is a hazard or equipment fault. Before paying, you are told the game rules, the exact entry amount in sats and the split of the prize wallet between places 1, 2 and 3.
Changes, cancellations and data
Contact us as soon as possible if your date, venue or group changes. You will receive the terms for changes, cancellations and any refunds before you book. The Cancellations and refunds page explains which situation applies to you.
